Prof. Dr. Rafiques Salehin

Obtained MBBS degree from Sher-E-Bangla medical college under Dhaka university in 1987, FCPS in Surgery from Bangladesh College of Physicians & Surgeons (BCPS) in 1995, FACS in surgery from American college of surgeons, FRCS from Royal college of Surgeons of Edinburg, FRCS from Royal college of Surgeons of Glasgow in 1998.

He worked in National Health Services (NHS) in UK for two years after FRCS.

Worked in BIRDEM, Holy Family Hospital, Dhaka Medical college Hospital, Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College during early life. Later worked as Resident Surgeon, Assist. Professor, Asso. Professor and Professor & Head Department of Surgery in Sylhet MAG Osmani Medical college, Rajshahi Medical college, Dinajpur Medical College and Mugda Medical College. Before joining United Hospital he worked  as Professor & Head department of Surgery in Sir Salimullah Medical College & Hospital, where he was also Head Department of Hepatobiliay & Pancreatic Surgery.

He is a regular examiner of under Graduate MBBS & Post Graduate examination FCPS, MS.

Received Training in different discipline of General, Endoscopic & Laparoscopic Surgery in England, Singapore, Hongkong, Mumbai and Delhi.

He has 32 year’s experience of performing Huge Number of Major surgical cases, Cancer Surgeries. He is doing laparoscopic surgeries since 1995 & is one of the Pioneer well reputed Advance Laparoscopic surgeon of the country

He has several Research works, publications & presented several papers in national & international scientific sessions.

Demonstrated live workshop on Hepatobiliary Surgery in International session in 2021.
